Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Timestamp Converter (the website at timestampconverter.net, "we", "us", or "the Service") collects when you visit, how that information is used, and the choices you have. We aim to keep this short and readable rather than buried in legalese.
Who runs this site
Timestamp Converter is an independent developer tool, run by a single maintainer. There is no parent company, no investors, and no data team. If you have questions about this policy, see the Contact page.
What we collect directly
The conversion tool itself is fully client-side: timestamps you paste or type are processed in your browser and never sent to our servers. We do not run user accounts, we do not store your conversion history server-side, and we do not require you to provide any personal information to use the Service.
The site stores a single small piece of data in your browser's localStorage to remember your light/dark mode preference. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings.
What is collected by third parties
We use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to read:
- Cloudflare hosts the site and provides the CDN. Cloudflare may log standard request metadata (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate analytics. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Google AdSense may serve advertisements on this site. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. This may include personalized advertising depending on your settings and region. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- jsDelivr serves the day.js JavaScript library used by the converter. jsDelivr may log request metadata; see their privacy policy.
Cookies and advertising choices
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We do not set first-party tracking cookies. Third parties named above (notably Google AdSense) may set cookies for advertising and frequency-capping purposes.
You have several ways to control this:
- Opt out of personalized advertising from Google by visiting https://www.google.com/settings/ads.
- Opt out of personalized advertising from a wider list of vendors at aboutads.info/choices (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
- Block or delete cookies entirely in your browser's privacy settings. The converter itself will continue to work; only your theme preference will reset between visits.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Some advertising activity by third parties may qualify as "sharing" under California law; the opt-out links in the Cookies section above are the primary way to exercise this right.
Children's privacy
This Service is intended for a general developer audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention
We do not retain server-side records tied to individual visitors. Edge logs maintained by Cloudflare for security purposes are retained according to Cloudflare's policy. Advertising cookies are retained according to the policies of the relevant ad networks.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features, regulatory requirements, or third-party services. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the home page for at least 14 days.
